Thanks Anthy,

I got really angry one day after one of the men talked about liking sex with handcuffs. That is when told my supervisor that I was going to quit if the harrassment did not stop. To let him know how much I disliked those men looking at my breast I talked to him looking directly between his legs. Then I ask if he would like it if a room full of women talked to him looking at him THERE! This action made him feel very uncomfortable and he admitted he would not like it.

Also, one day the handcuff guy came over to me and tried for about five minutes to get my attention and I acted like I never knew he was there. After he left some of my coworkers ask if something was wrong, why did I act that way in front of that guy. SO I TOLD THEM!! Yes, in front of about seven men I told them how that man looked at me and that I knew men that did that was just no good. They got a good laugh and I got to tell all the men what I think of sexual harrassors! No man has sexually harrassed since then.

The work situation is much better. But, my supervisor is not as friendly with me. I have been working there now for 10 weeks and will be getting my first work review. I fear that since I have so boldly spoken up that I will lose my job.

Just a note on "Equal opportunity." In the real world Equal opportunity does not always exist. If my employer wants to fire me for complaining about sexual harrassment he will just find another excuse to get rid of me. This "Equal opportunity" looks good on paper but is not always the reality. Something you may want to research for you paper.

Nedra
