Re: Sexual Harrassment

My husband has just been accused of Sexual Harrassment. He is a Manager of a Plant Hire company.

An existing employee (male) had a history of stupid behaviour unworthy of a senior office member. He is an unmarried father of two in his mid-20's.

A new member of office staff was employed earlier this year(female 1), who suggested a friend who would also like a job (female 2).

The Male in this story was recently accused and subsequently sacked for indecent exposure in the office, amongst other things by a Senior Management member, higher than my husband.

Male started an affair at an Xmas office party with Female 1. Female 2 did no work,and was always disturbing the others in the office. Female 2 was sacked as she was useless at her job.

She verbally abused my husband.

Male threatened my husband and one other manager over the telephone saying he would 'take the rest down with him'.

Subsequently, Female 1 heard of Male's/boyfriend's sacking. She then phoned the office saying that she is accusing my husband and one other male member of staff of Sexual Harrassment.

And sure enough a few days later Female 2 also phoned in with the same accusation.

You see, the three were in alliance with each other. They were all friends, and only Female 1 was able to do her job acceptably.

Female 1 was treated very fairly, and was given time off work at very short notice for all sorts of things.

I am female - and I am saying to anyone who is listening if you can't hack the male working ewnvironment, THEN DON'T JOIN IT. And if you are a Manager thinking of employing a female into the Male environment - THEN DON'T!!

I have worked in a very Male environment for many years and thoroughly enjoy it. Yes there are inuendos, yes there are verbal intimations, and yes there are pet names given me. BUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH A LITTLE LIGHTHEARTEDNESS IN THE WORKPLACE!

Don't be stupid all you girls who are considering getting your own back on another member of staff. You are wrecking marriages and lives.

If you have a genuine case, then go ahead, they deserve it!
