: We have an employee who has been employed since December 1998. She has repeatedly made mistakes and doesn't get along well with others. She is unprofessional and emotional on the job. We have given her many chances to do better. We recently gave her a bonus to give her some incentive to do better. She made a serious error last week and we feel it is time to fire her. The problem is she is pregnant and due to have her baby in two weeks. Could she bring any type of discrimination suit against us if we fire her now? Should we fire her before or after her maternity leave?
