harrasement in the work placePosted by jon schneider on November 26, 1999 at 09:31:20:
my wife is a professional in a hospital and approx a year ago was diagnosed with breast cancer. All during her treatment she was harrased by her supervisor and dept head in an obvious effort to make her quit her job. Just today her supervisor went through her personel records and belongings and threw them away while she was on thanksgiving leave. All of the doctors and staff that my wife works with say she is the most experienced and efficient person they have dealt with and have interseeded on her behalf with human rescources at the hospital. Today, as many times when she was going through kemo therapy, they sent her home in tears. By the time she got home her blood pressure was up and she was near collapse. I caled someone at the hospital, (a coworker), and she told me it was so obvious what these people where doing to my wife and that should she require their own statements as to what has been going on, they would all be more than happy to do so. Please tell me what exactly we "can" do about this. It seems now that she can't return to work.
